I was right in the middle of something important when my phone went off. The caller said it was from Curry’s Bristol. I’ve got no idea why they’d be ringing me, so I just ignored it. This sort of cold calling should really be stopped, it’s not legal.

Over the last 16 hours, this number has rung me around six times. At first, I thought it might be a scam or some spam, and with what I’ve found out earlier, that suspicion seems pretty spot on. Funny enough, the number’s been inactive for over a year now!

Got a call from this number, and the person on the line sounded quite posh, had a British accent and even knew my name. They said they were from Curry’s but mentioned Carphone Warehouse too. I told them I wasn’t interested and didn’t want to talk. Then, within half a minute, the same bloke rang me again but this time from a Leicester number, 0116 489 0013, calling not once but twice more. I’ve just blocked the lot now.

They also didn't seem able to explain the deal I was already looking at, which felt really suspicious. I ended up hanging up, but they rang me back not long after.
