Claiming to be associated with the Three network, it’s clear that this was a call centre operation. I was informed by Three on Friday that they don’t engage in cold calls.

Complete scam! The caller pretended to be from Three, yet when I asked about my current phone model, they were stumped. I've since blocked the number.

I received a call, answered it, and the person on the other end began discussing 'my present Three contract'. Out of the blue, they burst into laughter and promptly hung up.
