I pressed one since I hadn’t had any calls like that before. The person on the other end said there’s a complaint because someone’s apparently using my BRP card number for drug dealing and some sort of business. They told me my name and BRP number were linked to seven different bank accounts. They asked for my BRP number, full name, and date of birth, which I gave them. Then they wanted to know the name of my bank, but I said that was private and I couldn’t share it. They then said something about calling from the Supreme Court of the UK, which really freaked me out. I asked why someone would be using my details and they wanted to know how much money I had in my account for security checks. That’s when I realised it was a scam and quickly hung up. They tried calling again, but I didn’t answer.
