Got a call from this number saying they were from 02, and they somehow knew loads about me - my full address, contract plan, even my sort code and account details. They even mentioned my dog’s name! Definitely felt like they’d cracked into 02’s system or something, because there’s no way I gave them any of that info. They tried to sell me a discount but I refused to share my bank details on the phone and just ended the call. Really well done impersonation though, super believable.

This number is definitely dodgy and appears to come from abroad even though it looks like a UK number. If you get calls saying they’re from O2 or anything like that, make sure you report it to O2 straight away. It’s either scammers pretending to be O2 or they’re trying to trick you into giving away your info. These lot are pretty clever criminals looking to get into your phone and steal your cash. Best thing to do is just ignore or hang up when they ring.

They said they were calling from 02, but I’m not convinced.

I recently received a call that seemed to be from O2, offering me a tempting 30% off my phone bill. They were insistent on getting my one-time authorisation code, claiming they needed it to proceed. Let me tell you, under no circumstances should you share that code! Just hang up. These scammers could very well gain access to your phone, order new devices, or even breach your bank details. Stay vigilant and protect your personal information!

This call is just a dodgy attempt to get your One Time Authorisation Code for O2. If they get it, they could end up ordering a new phone in your name or even get into your bank stuff through your phone. Just put the phone down straight away. Don’t ever share your One Time Authorisation Code with anyone, no matter what.

I recently received a phone call from an individual purporting to be from O2. Honestly, their accent reminded me of someone struggling out at sea, so I simply wished them luck with their swimming abilities and ended the call. It’s infuriating that these scammers target decent Brits like us. I often wonder why they don’t take their antics over to places like China or Russia - those countries would surely put a swift end to such nonsense!
