When I told them I didn't think they were legit and said I'd hang up and ring O2 myself to verify, I heard someone telling them to end the call in the background. I did call O2 straight after and they confirmed it was a scam. If I had shared that code, they could have got into my account and seen all my info. Really glad I was cautious!

I’ve been getting quite a few calls like this, all claiming to be from 'o2 mobile service'. The person on the line usually has a really strong accent and tries pushing some kind of tariff discount. They come across as quite pushy and rude. Feels like a scam to me. I’ve just blocked the number now.
