It seems like one of those dubious calls, doesn't it? You know, where they initiate the chat just to confirm that there’s a live person on the line, which then signals that it’s a legit number. Or perhaps they're trying to trick you into ringing back on some dodgy line. I encountered one of these today as well, and naturally, I promptly blocked the caller.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Currys PC World, yet it seems there's no official call centre for them. When I challenged him on this, he resorted to calling me an idiot and a retard, which is quite the irony considering I regularly collaborate with Currys Carphone in my job. Clearly, this operation is some dodgy scam emanating from New Delhi, India.
