Had two calls today from what looked like the same company. The first came from a London number and the second from Bristol. One was pushing business broadband services and the other was about an EE contract for business phones. In both calls, they couldn’t confirm my name or even the name of my business. Definitely sounded like scams, so both numbers are blocked now... until the next time they try, I guess.

I got a call and it just hung up straight away.

Cold call received from this number saying that as I volunteer for a charity, that means I am self employed so I can quality for a business rate for my phone contract. They asked me for my name, despite being the one calling me. I stated I only send texts from my phone for my voluntary role, but they said that even if I just use my phone for personal use, I can claim business rates. Said lots of charities do this, but I am not running the voluntary organisation.

Got a call off some 'one com' lot trying to sell me a better mobile plan. I told her I was busy at work and couldn’t chat, but she just kept pushing like I wasn’t even speaking. Took no for an answer? Nope, not her! Ended up just cutting the call. Honestly, such a pain!

This number rang me again earlier today. The person asked if I was called Nick. When I said no, they then wondered if I could assist them with something. I told them I couldn’t, and after that, they sounded a bit puzzled and just ended the call.

They didn’t know my name and admitted they weren’t following any request from a company I'd spoken to. Still, they wouldn’t accept that they were a cold caller and only ended the call when I decided to drop it.
