They do seem to be connected with AO, but their main aim was trying to get me to buy an extra warranty for something I already bought.

Just got a call from AO.com, they were pushing me hard to buy some extended warranty. Seemed like they were just keen on squeezing more cash outta me. Not really impressed with the whole thing.

I’ve been receiving calls from this number incessantly, yet I never seem to catch the call itself! It’s rather peculiar as my phone doesn’t ring at all when they try to reach me. They are quite relentless, calling multiple times throughout the day. Curiosity got the better of me once, and when I returned the call, I was greeted by AO customer service, which I found rather unsettling. Surely, it’s unusual for them to contact you directly like that instead of asking for feedback through Trustpilot or similar platforms?

Ah, they say it's to 'verify your order' but really it's just a sneaky way to push extra warranty plans.

I bought a washing machine from AO on Thursday 29th November. The very next morning, I got a call from this number. The guy was pleasant and had a good sense of humour. Even tho I said no to paying extra to get my old machine taken away when I ordered, he offered to take it for free. Then he tried to sell me a warranty, but I kindly said no thanks. He wasn’t pushy at all. The call finished with him wishing me a nice day.

Someone called me asking for me by name and said it was regarding an order I supposedly made with AO.com. They wanted to check the delivery address. I told them AO already sent me an email confirming it and that the phone number they were calling from doesn’t match any number listed on AO’s official site. They ended the call quite nicely after that.

Somebody phoned me asking for me by name, said it was about an order I supposedly made with AO.com and wanted to double check my delivery address. I told him AO already sent me a confirmation email with the right details and pointed out that the number calling isn’t listed on AO’s site. He was quite polite and hung up after that.

This bloke was so pushy, claiming to be from AO about some warranty for my new fridge freezer parts. He didn’t stop chatting for about five minutes, then suddenly said, “I’ll need your bank details to set up direct debit.” When I asked why I needed this extra warranty since AO already gives 12 months and the manufacturer covers 10 years, he just kept rambling on. I had to raise my voice just to get a word in and shut him up. He kept pressing for my bank info, but I wouldn’t give it. If this was legit, they wouldn’t be so aggressive. I’ve blocked the number and sent AO a complaint.

Got a ring not long after ordering from AO.com and they claimed to be sorting out my order but really just trying to push Domestic & General insurance for £5 a month. Proper sneaky, pretending it’s a customer service call. I only had to say I wasn’t interested once, but I reckon someone older, like the person I bought the appliance for, might have fallen for their chat and ended up handing over more money from their pension. Told them NO on the order, NO means NO!
