My mum and dad got stung by a dodgy medical scam and lost £110 from their bank! Such a nightmare!

A bloke named David Green rang me up. He acted like he had access to our health info, but he had no clue my husband was in a bad crash a couple months ago. It took him ages to finally get around to his pitch about buying some Ultimate Elixir. Things felt off when he started trying to get my card details, like the number and expiry. That’s when I said no thanks to buying it. He was actually quite polite and said goodbye, and even gave me a number to call back if I changed my mind later.

They target older folks, especially those with health issues, pushing expensive supplements that are basically just fancy cod liver oil pills. Afterwards, they'll keep draining your bank account, ring you up non-stop, and even try to trick you into paying fees to shut your account! Seriously, stay away from these scammers and make sure to report them. Can't imagine how they get their hands on your info, definitely a huge GDPR violation.

If you get scammy text messages, you can report them by sending the details to 7726, then just follow what they say. There’s also the Action Fraud website run by the police where you can report phishing scams. They’ve got a specific page explaining how to do that. From there, there’s a link in the scam text reporting part that leads you to the National Cyber Security Centre’s site which has loads more info on how to tackle these scams. It's a shame more people don’t know about this, as it would really help reduce these fraud calls.

These people are trying to sell you useless medical stuff you don't actually need. They've probably bought some info on you already and pretend like they're a legit and honest company, but really they're just out to scam you. James Roger and his team are just thieves in disguise. Avoid them at all costs!

Watch out, these lot are proper sneaky thieves. Don’t get caught out by their tricks. They targeted my mum recently, but thankfully we’ve already reported them.

Got a call from someone called James Roger who said they could help with medical stuff. Told them to delete all my info because of GDPR. Pretty sure they are just scammers preying on old people and anyone who’s vulnerable. Truly dodgy thieves.

I got a call from a guy claiming to be James Roger, Senior Health Consultant. He said he was ringing from Nottingham but gave me a number that started with Bristol’s area code! He told me he was an expert in Diabetes and Arthritis. I didn’t really want to talk, so I just told him I'd get back to him another time and ended the call quickly.

They first ask what kind of #### you’re on, then try pushing stuff like Promax 5 and similar things - totally unnecessary, if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Pensioner Wellness at Bootle Health Care. She seemed to know all about my medical history and chatted with me about my health issues, but then she suggested I buy some particular tablet that apparently costs £40 for just a month’s worth. Seemed a bit off to me!
