So this number rings me up pretending they’re from Vodafone, saying they can slash my monthly bill from £30 down to a fiver or so for half a year. After seeing that Scam Interceptors programme on BBC, I just said, “Oh wow, that’s brill - especially since I only pay £10 a month on PAYG! So, where’s your dodgy call centre then - Jaipur or maybe Mumbai?” There was dead quiet, then they hung up straight away!
