So this firm rang me up about insulating my loft. When I asked where they snagged my number from, they mentioned some renewable energy database - whatever that means. I told them I’m on the TPS and they said they’d remove me from their calling list. I just replied that they’d do better getting contacts from a trustworthy place and stop wasting everyone’s time.

I just got a call and the person was completely silent, then they hung up without saying a word. Quite weird!

I got a call from some eco home firm claiming they have info about insulation fitted ages back and wanted to pop round to inspect the loft, saying it might be causing condensation issues. The bloke on the phone was really cagey about giving clear details, kept going on about not wanting to make me feel uneasy. Then, without much warning, he asked if I prefer mornings or afternoons for a quick 20 minute visit while their surveyors were nearby. He refused to clarify anything else, but mentioned he'd show ID when he turns up that I could verify. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from some surveyors, said they were from Bristol. They wanted to know if I had fibreglass or rock wool insulation in my attic. Asked the bloke why he was ringing me up when I'm on the TPS list. He said sorry and promised to take me off their list, though I seriously doubt they'll do it!
