Got a call saying I won summat in the postcode lottery (which I don’t even take part in). I kept questioning them and dodging their answers, and then they just cut off when I didn’t give any details. Pretty clear scam to me.

Here we go again - another bloody SCAM call. Some bloke with an Asian accent telling me I’d won the Postcode Lottery. Brilliant news, right? Except I don’t even take part in that lottery. Unsurprisingly, he then asked for my bank details to 'transfer' the winnings. Total nonsense.

I've received a rather peculiar call suggesting that I've bagged a voucher, flights, and a villa courtesy of something they referred to as the "postcode lottery." Mind you, it's important to clarify that this is NOT the same as the People's Postcode Lottery. It turns out the outfit behind this is called Supercard Black. They were keen to collect my email, home address, and my bank details, including sort code and account number, all claiming it was to deposit a mere penny for identity verification. I'm quite sceptical, as I suspect their true aim is to establish a direct debit. It seems they're hoping to mislead folks into thinking they're affiliated with the reputable People’s Postcode Lottery.
