Received five calls on the 1st of April. Thanks to our call blocker, they simply registered as missed calls. They didn’t even bother to identify themselves, which makes me think it’s likely a scam.

When I picked up the phone, our call-blocking device prompted the caller to identify themselves. As soon as I requested their name, the line went eerily silent. Clearly, just another pestering telemarketer!

Got a really pushy bloke on the phone, all full of himself trying to sell me some energy stuff. The moment I said I’m on the TPS, he cut the call sharpish. Definitely putting his number on the block list now!

Got a call earlier today around 1:06 pm from a bloke who sounded really sure of himself. He started by asking me how I was, then tried to chat about my energy provider. When I asked him exactly who he was and which company he was from, he just cut me off straight away. I’m pretty sure it was some sort of scam.

Got a call from someone pushing a switch to another energy supplier. Sounded dodgy to me. Just ended the call straight away and made sure not to share anything at all, like my name or where I live. Better safe than sorry with these sorts of calls!

Some bloke rang me saying he was the energy adviser for my area. When I asked him to confirm my postcode, he said he was new and that his manager would ring me back. Felt like he was reading off a script and couldn't really handle any questions outside of that!

The voice sounded proper English at first, but don’t let that fool you. When you ask for a name, they just dodge it and won't tell you. They keep ringing back claiming they’re from an energy company. Try asking them which area they think you live in, since they say they cover your region. Total scammers, honestly. Just be blunt and say exactly what you think of them - they hate that. After that, block their number and move on.
