The number 0117 405 6367 called me a few times but kept hanging up as soon as I picked up. On the fourth call, a bloke claimed to be from some legal advice group about an accident I had in March. I run a small taxi firm, and he somehow knew about a tiny mishap with one of my cabs. However, when he started talking about a £1,000 charge, I could tell they were trying to scam me. I said I wasn’t willing to chat about it and he just disconnected the call.

I just got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, told me there was some sort of fraud done using my name. They wanted me to hit button 1 on the phone but I knew it was dodgy.

Today, within a bit more than an hour, I received five calls from 0117 511 6314 on both my mobile and landline. Each time it went to voicemail, they just hung up. Getting suspicious, I picked up the third call, only to find it was someone from a ‘legal advice centre’ mentioning an accident from March. The thing is, I never had any accident then. They did have my name though, which is a bit worrying. I told them straight to fix their info and stop bothering me. Now, I’ve blocked that number on both my phones.
