Somebody rang me sounding proper convincing, like they had all the info about my recent car crash. I can’t believe I was daft enough to give them my details! They kept telling me I had to go for compensation, even told me what to say and then connected me with a lawyer. Totally caught me off guard.

Got a call saying there was £3000 ready for me to claim from a car crash, said it was mine to grab or it’d be sent back to the insurance. I told the bloke to just send a cheque in the post, he said he needed my bank details and other personal stuff first. Total scam. He spoke all calm and polite but sounded like he was reading from a script. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone pretending to be a car insurance firm, telling me that even if you weren’t hurt in the accident, you might still be eligible for money. Sounded like a typical insurance scam. They said they’d ring me back in about 15 minutes to sort out some details, but I didn’t wait around - just blocked the number straight away!

Got a call about owing a diesel car from 2008 to 2015, came from something like E-commerce or E-congestion, can't quite remember. They said they wanted to see if I was interested in something, then asked if I’d owned an Audi or Skoda before. When I asked how they got my phone number, they just went quiet. Feels a bit dodgy, like a scam to me.

Cheers for the info, really useful. They said something about energy, but when I told the caller I’m on the TPS, the woman with an Indian accent got really rude, saying if I were really registered, they wouldn’t be able to ring me. I told her I wasn’t interested and have since blocked the number and reported it to TPS. I’m definitely on the Telephone Preference Service, so couldn’t believe they kept calling. They rang on the 9th, again on the 11th, and finally I answered on the 12th, but it seemed like a scam straight away. Now the number’s blocked so no more bother. Not impressed with how cheeky she was. The accent made me wonder if it’s a UK-based caller or just a redirected call from India using a UK number.

Sounds pretty convincing at first, but it's definitely just a scam. They talk about car accident insurance and claim you got hurt. They've got a few bits of info already, but then start asking for your date of birth and National Insurance number. Classic dodgy stuff.

I reckon this was some kind of scam. They called me about a car crash I had last year and already had all my info, plus the other driver’s. They claimed I could get a category C payout, but when I questioned them, they quickly changed their tune.

This bloke said he was from some motor advice company and even mentioned my recent insurance claim. When I asked where he got all that info, he just ended the call. Sounds like a total scam to me. Weirdly, he did know both my name and the name of some third party involved.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Audi, saying I was entitled to a rebate for a service I supposedly had today. It all seemed a bit dodgy to me. My car’s still under warranty, so I wouldn’t have paid for anything in the first place. I told them I was tied up and they said they’d call back on Monday. Decided to ring my local Audi dealer to check, and they said it sounded fishy, especially as the number was from Bristol, and I’m based in the North of England. Blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from this number about four different times. When they said my name, I answered with "this is [Name]". The caller greeted me with "good afternoon" even though it was only 10 in the morning, then they just dropped the call.
