Someone rang me claiming to be from BT, saying they were about to transfer my phone line. I asked them to email me the details, but I never got anything. When I tried calling the number back, it wasn’t working. So I contacted BT myself and found out it was a scam.

I got a call from someone who sounded Indian, saying they were from BT. They asked for me but totally messed up my first name and used my maiden name instead. I told them that wasn’t me, which was true, then they asked if I was connected to the person they were looking for. I just said no and ended the call.
