This number's been calling me quite a bit but never leaves a voicemail. I've done a bit of digging and it turns out it's linked to a firm called Quote Source. I found their site and dropped them a note through the contact page, asking kindly to stop calling me. Hopefully that does the trick. If not, maybe their customer service is swamped with loads of messages every day.

Got a call on my mobile yesterday, and the bloke already knew my name. He then tried to pitch some insurance to me. I cut him off and asked where he got my number from. As usual, he gave me that line about ‘a carefully chosen database’ or something like that. I told him I wasn’t interested. At one point, he said something like “this call might not be what you were anticipating.” I said, “I wasn’t expecting a call from you at all, and I certainly didn’t ask for it.” Then I ended the call.

For the past three weeks, I’ve been getting as many as five calls a day from this number during work hours. It’s really getting out of hand. I finally picked up and told the person it wasn’t the right number, so fingers crossed they’ll stop calling now. These unwanted calls are seriously annoying, especially since I do night shifts. So this was from some insurance firm, giving me a call to pitch life insurance. Weirdly, they must've known I’d been looking for quotes recently, cause they mentioned that straight away. They do other types of insurance too, and you can deal with them online.
I can’t quite recall their exact name, but it was something like “Quote Box” or close to that. The bloke on the phone was quite polite, just reading from a script I guess. I just thanked him and put their number on my phone’s block list right after. I gotta say, having that blocking feature is a real lifesaver!
