They rang me but didn’t bother leaving a message. After seeing the other comments, I’m guessing this number’s probably been blocked now.

Something really weird happened to me today too. This bloke claimed he was from Relief Energy and started calling me over and over. I blocked the number but then they just switched to another one and kept ringing. What’s odd is they actually mentioned my previous postcode - how on earth do they connect that to my number? Proper strange!

I answered the phone, and the first thing I heard was someone saying "goodbye."

This bloke had a really loud and pushy tone. He claimed his name was James and said he was ringing from National Energy Relief or something similar. He told me he'd been trying to reach me for days. When I asked him to say who he was again, he repeated that he was James, contacting people locally to offer help with energy bill relief. I then mentioned, "Did you say you’ve been trying to call for several days?" and he shouted back, "That’s fine. Goodbye," before slamming the phone down. If you want to get rid of this guy when he rings, just keep asking him to repeat himself over and over! 😂

I saw on another site that the voice sounds really real, but it’s actually a pre-recorded message which might be why he doesn’t respond to questions.

As soon as I pick up, a man’s voice just says, “Goodbye.” Weird and kinda creepy.

Got a call from some robotic voice. If you’re up for it, you can ask it some stuff, otherwise just hang up and it’ll stop bugging you.

Got calls a couple times this morning but when I answered, no one was there and then it just ended. Really frustrating. Happens with a bunch of other numbers too.

Got two unexpected calls today. I never pick up if I don’t know the number. Just hang in there, they usually stop calling after a while.

Got a call from James, claiming to be with National Energy Relief. It actually hung up as soon as it hit my voicemail, like it thought it was me or something. The voice was pretty convincing, sounds like some AI trick. Pretty sure it’s a scam. They start by asking a general question like "Are you the homeowner?" to get you talking.

Got a call from a number today. It wasn’t on my allowed list, so it tried to bypass my phone’s protection but failed and got cut straight off. Honestly, these call blocking systems are brilliant because they stop those robo calls dead in their tracks. Plus, the scammers quickly give up since they realise no one's answering.

Got a call from them but no message was left. Definitely sounded like one of those scam calls.

Unless they leave a message, I’m not gonna bother calling back.

Think I've just had a dodgy call, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from an unknown number but it hung up before it got to voicemail. After checking the info here, I’m gonna block it. Cheers, Who-Called!

I picked up the phone and this automated voice started talking about some energy company, asking if I owned the property. It sounded like one of those recorded calls that listen to what you say, making it feel like you're chatting with a real person. I tried replying with a few different answers to not give anything away, but it just kept on repeating the questions. Honestly, I'd steer clear of this one - it’s probably just a robotic telemarketer.

Someone called from National Energy Relief, or something like that - might’ve been James Honeywell. He claimed he’d been ringing me for days, which is rubbish. It sounded like a recorded message because I hardly got a chance to speak. Honestly, better that I hung up straight away. These lot clearly couldn’t care less about being on the TPS list.

Twice today i answered my phone and the person just says "goodbye" right away. It's pretty odd.

Got a call today from someone saying he was James, something about energy relief or whatever. The weird thing is, I'm pretty certain the bloke called before and said his name was Richard, but it sounded exactly the same voice. I've tried blocking their numbers at least three times, yet they keep ringing me from all these different numbers. You can tell it’s a call centre cause there's this beep before they start yakking. I just end the call straight away and block them again.

I just played the message on my answerphone, this bloke claiming to be from National Home Energy Release kept asking if the person was the house owner. As soon as I figured it was dodgy, I ended the call. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Couldn’t really tell what the purpose of the call was since no one picked up.

Got a call from someone called James claiming to be from an energy firm. Pretty sure it was one of those automated bots despite it saying ‘no’ when asked if it was a robot and ‘yes’ when asked if it was human. I’ve blocked the number already, but this happens all the time - a few weeks later they ring again from a different number. It feels like pure harassment!

I got a call from a number I didn't recognise but didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. Probably just one of those annoying spam calls or maybe even a scam, so I’d say it’s safer just to ignore any calls from this number.

Every time I pick up and the voicemail kicks in, they just hang up straight away.

This bloke called me up with a loud, pushy voice, said he was called James and was ringing from something like the National Energy Relief Line. He said he’d been trying to get hold of me a few times already. When I asked him to say that again, he just told me he was James, calling locals about help with energy bills. But when I mentioned the multiple calls, he got a bit grumpy and just said, “No worries, goodbye” before hanging up harshly. If you want him to go away, just keep asking him to repeat himself, it’s obviously a dodgy scam.
