I totally agree with what was said back on 25/01/2021. Since we began dealing with BT's overseas call centres, the amount of scam and hacking issues we've faced has shot up. Feels like BT has an internal problem leaking somewhere. They really should step up their game, but I doubt they'll do much unless their monopoly is challenged or someone actually steps up to fix things!

Looks like my ‘private number’ isn’t so private after all - BT India must’ve sold it somewhere because I keep getting random scam calls from all sorts of strangers. I’ve set my answerphone to grab any calls from hidden numbers now, but cheers for the heads-up, folks. It’s mad that these nuisances still slip through, especially that ‘elderly lady’ voice that’s been recycled on calls for farm subsidies a while back, and now she’s back as the ‘Amazon bill woman’. Why isn’t anything done to stop these idiots?

I got a call supposedly from the Government Grant Centre. When I asked who they were trying to reach, they said it wasn’t important and then they just hung up on me.

Not entirely sure if it was a scam or not, since I didn't go along with it long enough. A woman rang up about loft insulation, but I kept telling her that I’d moved away and wasn’t the owner of the place she was talking about. I made it clear that I wasn’t the one to make those choices. After I kept saying this a few times, she just said she wasn’t going to argue and then hung up on me. Honestly, what a waste of time - they should find proper work!

The phone buzzed and before I could pick up, it went straight to the answerphone.
