I received a call from a lady sporting a northern accent, professing to represent some sort of fuel switching service. It was quite amusing because she ended up transferring me to a chap in the very same room, who then proceeded to ask me for my address. He insisted he couldn't locate my electricity meter number and said he'd ring me back shortly. Surprise, surprise - he never did! Clearly a ruse to collect personal details.

Got a call from a lady speaking with a northern accent, said she was from some fuel switch company. She, kinda laughably, passed me on to another guy nearby who asked for my address. Then he said he couldn’t find my meter number and promised to ring me back in a bit. Never got that call. Definitely looks like a scam just to nab your address.

A bloke with a British accent said he was ringing from 121 Energy and wanted to know who my energy provider was. I told him I wasn't involved with that stuff so I wasn't sure, and he just said alright and hung up.

They rang my work phone but I didn’t pick up. I’m in the North West for my job, our main office is in the Midlands, and this number is from Bristol. We don’t have any branches there. When I checked the voicemail, it was just quiet with no message.

Normally I dont pick up but did this time. Nice bloke on the line who knew my name. He was asking about my energy supplier. I just said yes or no to his questions. He seemed quite cheerful and tried to connect me to another person to help with my energy. I told him I wasnt intersted as Im happy with my current company. He thanked me and hung up. Was refreshing to talk to someone English and polite. Seems like they were just trying to get me to switch suppliers to save cash.
