I've noticed a few missed calls on my wife's phone from a number she didn't recognise, so she decided to let them ring out. It happened three or four times. When I picked up, there was a chap with a distinctly foreign accent on the other end. He asked if he could have a word with her, and when I firmly told him 'No', he sounded rather taken aback and tried to confirm what I said. I reiterated my refusal, and he promptly hung up. Quite the peculiar encounter!
