3 yearsSomebody rang claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying they were upgrading my broadband to fibre and would send a new router. Then they asked me to run an Ookla speed test for them. The first test came back super slow, so I ran another one secretly which showed a much faster speed. After that, the caller asked me to install an app called Awesun. While he was talking, I quickly looked it up and found out it’s meant for remotely controlling Android devices from other gadgets. Basically, it lets someone access your phone or computer remotely. I said, “Hang on, do you want me to install something that lets you control my computer?” He said yes, and that’s when I told him, “No chance, thanks.
