Like others have said, this is definitely a scam. Don't bother calling back. They even got my name wrong and told me I supposedly owe money to Halifax, which I have no idea about. Funny enough, the amount they claimed I owed was £2439 - an exact match to others’ stories. Seriously, don’t fall for this, and whatever you do, do NOT return the call from the voicemail left by Jennifer from Chargeback Lenders on this number 01173183634 ext 124. Stay safe!

I’ve already let the national fraud squad know about this phishing scam. Seriously, don’t ring them back or reply at all, it’s totally fake. They asked for £2439 which isn’t real, so never share your info or call them again!

Got a random call from someone named Sam about a loan and supposed mis-sold PPI. Sounded dodgy to me, so I just ignored it. Definitely a scam, don’t bother replying.

Got a ring from 01173182439, sayin they were from Charge Banking and I’d won £2439 from Bank of Scotland. They said I needed to ring them back, but I didn’t bother - sounded like a total scam to me.

Got a call from 01173182439 saying I won a cheque for £2439 plus £1200 in cash. They asked me to purchase iTunes vouchers worth £400 to claim it. Luckily for me, as a retired Met Police officer, I knew straight away it was a scam, and I reported them to Charge Back Claim.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming they were Peter, saying I had a £239 cheque from RBS waiting for me. I didn’t say anything and looked up the number here - turns out it’s marked as "Dangerous". Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call from a guy named Michael, sounded Indian, said I had a £2439 cheque waiting from Black Horse about PPI. Mentioned extension 224 or something like that. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

This lad was telling me I could get some PPI money back, said someone would visit my place with cash in hand!! Then he mentioned I’d be sent a cheque for even more dosh after that!! He claimed to be from some company called Chargeback Claims or summat.

Got a voicemail saying I'd got a cheque about PPI and to ring them back.

Got a call from 01173182439 about a pip matter linked to me. They mentioned paying partly by cheque and partly in cash. When I tried to reply, they didn't answer.
