Got a call from this number saying I had to appear in court for tax evasion. When I rang back during their office hours, they started talking about helping me find the ideal present or something. Really confused me!

This number rang me, but as soon as I mentioned I get paid through PAYE and tax fraud seemed unlikely, they just hung up on me. They tried calling again today and left a really threatening voicemail. I’ve blocked the number now.

Today, Linda had the nerve to warn my daughter about some "courthouse" nonsense (very old-fashioned, if you ask me). I told her to remember she’s on Tesco’s payroll, so her pay is already handled through PAYE. Honestly, is there no way to sort these dodgy characters out properly in court? James

Got a voicemail from this number so I checked it out here. Thought I’d ring them back to mess about a bit. The guy immediately said I needed a lawyer. Once he stopped talking, I asked if he even knew my name. He shot back with "you’re not a celeb, mate" and then hung up. I tried calling again but now he’s not answering. Honestly, I’m planning to report this to HMRC and everyone else should too, maybe the Bristol office can investigate it.

Got a robo call from someone saying they were Linda White at HMRC. They told me I’m involved in tax evasion and fraud and that there’s a court case coming up soon.
