Received a rather dodgy call earlier today. My usual tactic is to feign a bit of a breakdown, claiming that poor Christopher has shuffled off this mortal coil and we’re unable to reach his mobile to inform his chums. I find it rather amusing to hear their responses like, “Oh, how dreadful!” or “I'll make sure to take him off our list.” I never actually mention that Christopher has passed away; I reckon that would be just as low as the scammers themselves - the number was 01173180940.

I just received this robotic phone call informing me that I must ring them back as a legal case regarding my taxes is supposedly in the pipeline! It's from the HMRC investigation department or something similar - very odd, isn’t it?
