When they do ring up, I simply let them recite their little script before I inform them that my antivirus has already sorted out the supposed issue. Upon picking up, I found myself speaking to a man who claimed to be Korean, insisting that my computer was under attack. He went on to say he was affiliated with Microsoft’s office in Berkshire. The chap was relentless, warning me to heed his advice or risk having my computer blocked and all my accounts disabled. As soon as I mentioned the police, he abruptly cut off the call and vanished.
