somebody rang me sayin they was from talktalk and that my line was corrupted or something and that if I didn't press 1 or 2 my line would get cut off. she had a bit of an accent but spoke english pretty clearly and sounded legit.

I kept getting loads of spam calls from that number, so I just ended up blocking it. Better than wasting time answering, honestly.

Got a call supposedly from BT Openreach saying they were doing work nearby. They asked if I was a BT customer (seems like BT don’t really keep tabs on their own folks). Then they wanted to know who my provider was. Didn’t answer that and just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone with a Bristol accent the other day. She was super dodgy and refused to say what company she was calling from. Definitely felt like a cold call scam or something.

i got a call asking to book a meeting with my manager, but when i asked what it was about, the caller just snapped ‘is he free or not?’ then she vanished when i tried to ring back. of course, no answer when i wanted to mention how impolite she sounded. these kinds of calls happen heaps everyday from all sorts of numbers, but i always keep my cool and never act like that!

So I picked up the phone and this guy just says he needs to do something quick and he'll ring me back - what a cheek!

I got a call this morning around 10 and a woman just kept repeating "hello?" like she wasnt able to hear me properly, then suddenly she hung up. Pretty odd experience.
