Had a call cut off, then got a ring back from this number: An individual from 01174071934 (Bristol) reached out, claiming to represent a firm called Reclaim Services. They informed me that I was entitled to a PPI reimbursement of £3550. After a bit of back and forth, I was handed over to someone named Rachel, who spoke with a notably strong Asian accent, and then to another representative, Emily Hill, who also had a similar accent. They attempted to persuade me to link my device to an app called AnyDesk, insisting that it wouldn’t grant them access to my phone. When I inquired about how a con artist might phrase things, they seemed rather taken aback. They provided me with an alternative number, 02086115938, for verification purposes. I guess I’m missing out on £3000, how amusing! Absolutely dodgy - steer clear of anyone wanting remote access to your device!
