Received a rather alarming call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, insisting I was at risk of legal ramifications. Quite clearly a scam attempt, but it was unsettling nonetheless.

I received a rather dodgy call this morning from someone claiming to be HMRC. They insisted I was facing legal action for outstanding taxes and urged me to press 1 immediately to steer clear of my name being linked to an arrest warrant. It's clearly a scam!

This number rang me up claiming I owed some sort of unsecured debt - seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Today I got a call from them again, and I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. They tried reaching me earlier regarding some crypto stuff. I quickly ended the call and have saved their number as scammers.

I got a call earlier from someone saying they were from Citizens Capital. The person had a really strong accent, so I struggled to catch their name properly. They kept asking me if I owed any money, like five times in a row. I’m pretty sure they didn’t believe when I said I didn’t have any debt.

I got a call from this number a few times but they never left a voicemail. It popped up as a "possible scam" so I ignored it and didn’t answer. After seeing it ring three times straight, I decided to block it and reported it. From what I’ve read about similar complaints, it’s best not to answer, block immediately, and report so others can be warned. I’m marking this number as possibly risky.

Got calls about debt consolidation offers claiming they can reduce your debts if you agree to pay a fixed amount monthly for five years. But right away, they ask for tons of personal details. Stretching payments over several years to cover multiple debts all at once really doesn’t seem like real help. Feels dodgy like a scam that might just land you deeper in financial trouble.

So this bloke rings me up claiming he’s from some debt agency. When I asked what kind of scam they were running, he got a bit dodgy and told me to visit their office. I told him he didn’t sound too cheerful and that the place sounded really echoey over the phone! Not long after, he just hung up on me.
