I had a bloke call me, said his name was Darren or something similar, and he wanted to speak to me directly. I asked where he got my details from and he mentioned that when a solar panel company folds - like the one we used - their info ends up being sold on to firms that gather data, maybe Oracle or something along those lines. Then this info gets passed on to people like him. Guess that’s a bit of a joke for GDPR, isn’t it? Just another annoying fallout from Brexit, if you ask me.

Earlier today, I got a phone call from someone saying they were with the “Consumer Advice Line,” which honestly sounds a bit dodgy to me. They were talking about claims connected to solar panel firms that have shut down. I tried searching online but couldn’t find any official website or info about them. It seems strange that an advice line would ring people up instead of the other way around. Feels like a scam or maybe some kind of group lawsuit, like the ones for PPI or those diesel engine issues.

Got a call about solar panels, sounded like a right dodgy scam to me.

I got a ring from 01172338545, but when I didn’t answer they just stopped calling. Tried calling back and it went straight to an answerphone asking me to leave a message. Pretty sure this is just some spam or nuisance call, definitely not someone I know.

I got two calls from them really close together, the second one left a voicemail that was basically just silence but lasted over a minute. I could make out some breathing and a few random noises in the background. Definitely felt like they were hoping I’d answer so they could say something I probably wouldn’t want to hear. Pretty sure it wasn’t anyone familiar or someone I know.
