Got a text saying a new card was added to Apple Pay on "Jeromes's Iphone17". I don’t recall doing this at all. If you’re not expecting it either, maybe ring them on 01172077005 just to check what's going on. Seems a bit dodgy to me!

Got a call today, 14th April, from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Currys PC World, trying to sell me a phone. Honestly, no way I fell for it, total scam. Someone really ought to tell her it's just Currys these days and they never ring you up to try and sell phones like that!

Got a call from someone saying they were with Carphone Warehouse, but I just said "I'm not interested". As far as I know, Carphone Warehouse doesn't really exist anymore. Definitely a scam call.

I received a call today from someone with an accent reminiscent of India, who identified themselves as representing Curry’s Mobile. They were trying to entice me with a deal on a brand new iPhone 13 for just £30 a month, which supposedly included an impressive 1,000 minutes for international calls. Even though the whole conversation felt like a waste of my time and rather bothersome, I must say the chap remained quite courteous throughout.

Something like "Astec Marketing" rang me earlier. I tried ringing back to check who it was, and they gave an outlook.com email to opt out, but they didn’t bother giving the full email address! Anyway, it’s clearly a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.

I just received a call from someone claiming to be from Curry's, trying to entice me with a phone deal. When I enquired about how they obtained my number, they abruptly ended the call. The person had a foreign accent and their English was a bit shaky.

Got a call earlier, picked up since I was waiting for a techie. It was noisy here, so hard to hear, but this bloke with a strong Indian accent was yelling something like “ma’am,” “contract,” and “card payment.” I figured, why not string him along a bit? So I pretended to try and pay him just to mess with his time like he was messing with mine. Then I blasted a loud horn sound into the phone and ended the call. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call from what sounded like Bristol, basically a lot of background noise like a call centre. The guy had an Indian accent and claimed he was from something like ‘open network’ (not quite sure, I was already telling him to leave me alone). Pretty sure it was either a scam or just telemarketing.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from “Carphone Warehouse,” saying that my phone contract had been sorted as a Christmas gift. I told them I’ve never even been with that provider, but they insisted they deal with customers like me too. I just said I wasn’t interested and when they wanted my email, I didn’t give it.

I picked up 0117 207 7008 since I was waiting for a call from someone nearby, and the phone actually displayed the number instead of "unknown". A woman with a strong Indian accent started rambling, but I couldn’t catch most of what she was saying - the word "house" was the only thing clear. I told her firmly to remove my number from their system and never ring back, then ended the call. I’ve blocked this number ever since.

I’ve just had a similar experience, to be honest. When I received the call, I asked the caller to provide the name of the account holder to double-check if they were genuinely representing O2. Unsurprisingly, they couldn’t provide that information-definitely a dodgy situation!

A blokeski from India rang me up claiming to be from O2, offering me a whopping 40% off my phone bill for a good three months. He said he'd text me a code to redeem this offer. Lo and behold, a message popped up with instructions to ring 202 if I had any problems. Seemed a bit dodgy, if you ask me, so I promptly blocked the number and chucked the message in the bin.
