When they pressed for my banking details, I firmly declined to share any personal information on the phone, including my age group. I explained my preference for everything in writing so I could verify their claims. Curiously, they then inquired about any health issues, even questioning if I had dementia! Not exactly a professional way to conduct business, in my view.
