I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving out my address and they just dropped the call right away. Total scam, no doubt.

When I mentioned I didn’t have cover for my kitchen appliances, the caller straight up said he was trying to sell insurance. Honestly, I’m not about to buy any insurance from someone ringing out of the blue.

Got a second call from a Bristol number but didn’t pick up since I’ve got no links there and don’t know anyone from that area. They didn’t leave any message either, so I just went ahead and blocked it. Feels dodgy, probably some scam since they’re calling from different numbers but all from Bristol.

Got a call about cutting down my kitchen appliance warranty, which I don't even own. The guy claimed he could lower it from £350 to £250. So, I decided to mess about and played some Jim Carrey quotes from my computer, loads of his famous film lines. The caller found it hilarious and ended up chuckling loads before hanging up. I do this sort of thing whenever they ring. Just have a bit of fun and waste their time as long as possible.

I get like six calls every day and honestly, it’s getting on my nerves big time.

Got a call from some rude, clueless woman with an Indian accent. I politely asked who was calling, and she just snapped back saying she wouldn’t tell me and then hung up. Guess she realised her scam was blown before even trying. Not the sharpest scammer I’ve dealt with, that’s for sure. The number was from Bristol, which is a dead giveaway it’s a scam, plus I’m not expecting any calls from companies right now. I just like having a laugh winding them up!

The number of calls I get every day is just insane. I’ve started picking up, staying silent for a bit, and then they just end the call. It’s getting so annoying!

Whenever I get these scam calls about my household gear, I’ve got a little routine to deal with them. I just shut them down when they start chatting about my stuff and say, “Hang on, could you tell me your name again? And which firm did you say you’re with?” I pretend like I’m jotting it down nice and slow, which seems to wind them up a bit and eats up their time - kind of giving them a taste of their own medicine. Then, if they carry on with their spiel and try to con me, I drag it out, firing off more questions, but I’m careful not to reveal anything personal.

Got a scam call saying I always pay my bills on time and shop at specific places, so I qualify for discount vouchers and promo codes. I told them I was only 16, still live with my folks, and don’t handle any bills or shopping, which is all true. They didn’t believe me and called me a liar, so I stayed chilled and called them out for trying to trick a kid into sharing personal details, even went as far as calling them paedophiles.

Got a call from some “insurance company” asking for my personal info, which I reckon was just some scammers trying to grab my data and probably sell it on to others. Definitely felt like a phishing attempt.

I received a call from this number earlier, but I chose not to pick up since I don't recognise anyone from that region. I've now gone ahead and blocked it.

I was on the phone with some bloke trying to sell me insurance stuff, talking about bills and shopping, which honestly made no sense at all. After nearly two minutes of this nonsense, I told him, "Sorry mate, this ain't the place for dodgy business. Want me to pass you to the right people?" He ended the call faster than I could blink!

Got a call from some bloke claiming my washing machine’s insurance had expired. He was asking me loads of questions, but I told him if he’s the insurance company, he should already have my address and details, right? He said he’d send the forms to renew the cover anyway. I told him I wasn’t interested, and then he hung up. Proper scam, no doubt about it!

Got a call claiming to be about some kind of appliance insurance - I knew straight away it was dodgy and told them it was a scam. They just hung up on me. Then, out of nowhere, they called back and started shouting abuse, calling me a bloody old witch and telling me to get lost before slamming the phone down again. Proper nasty.

I’ve been getting loads of scam calls recently. When I pick up and stay silent, they just end the call straight away. It feels like if we had a way to make people more honest since we have their numbers. Surely there’s something that can be done about all these annoying calls flooding in?

Some bloke rang me claiming I could get a refund on my gas and electric bills, plus gave me some talk about vouchers for shops. He tried checking my credit card expiry date, but when I told him it was wrong, he just got all annoyed and kept repeating himself. Honestly, I’m sick of these dodgy calls, that’s the second one I’ve had today. Ended up just hanging up on him.

I had a phone call from this number earlier, and they requested to verify my name. Instead of providing my details, I inquired about their identity. Rather annoyingly, they didn’t respond and just ended the call abruptly. Odd behaviour, if you ask me!
