I didnt get the first call but this number rang once more today sayin it was about my microsoft account. They said my account is bein used by scammers and fraud people and has been active this week. But my internet’s been off for a week after the storm and im still waitin for a technician, so that was odd. I asked the woman her name (she sounded like she had an Aidan kinda accent) and she hung up straight away. Fair to say she was a scammer in my opinion.

Loads of people here keep saying blocking won’t actually stop these scam calls and what you should really do instead. Sadly, the police used to have a form where you could report scam numbers straight to action fraud but it’s been shut down now. Best bet is to email your local MP and ask them why they closed it. Also, sending reports to 7726 doesn’t actually get through to the police. They usually only take any notice when people have lost huge amounts of money.

Those posts are now buried about one and a half pages back. These scammers definitely dont want folks to find out this stuff. I just received a call a short while back where the person on the line professed to be from O2, supposedly presenting a 30% discount. The accent was quite strong and distinctly Indian.

Just like the rest, this one is pretending to be from O2 and such. It's clearly a dodgy operation; I wouldn't be surprised if these scammers have managed to pinch a database from someone who uses O2.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying there was a special deal on offer. Turns out it was a total scam, they were fishing for my account details so they could steal cash. Watch out, definitely don’t trust these calls!

Said he was from o2. The creepy part was he even got the text and code from O2 through, which freaked me out.
