Got a call claiming I was caught up in tax credit fraud and that they’d issue an arrest warrant if I didn’t talk to them. I told them I wasn’t involved in anything dodgy and asked how they could prove they were actually from HMRC. Then, out of nowhere, they blasted this awful screechy noise down the line and just hung up. Definitely a scam.
