Over the last few days, I've had an incessant barrage of calls from this Bristol number, so I thought I'd take the plunge and pick up the next time it rang. Sure enough, it rang a couple of hours ago, and I answered it. Much to my dismay, there was nothing but some odd sounds on the other side! I promptly ended the call, but now I'm left wondering if I've fallen prey to some sort of scam!

this robocall was for some insurance thing but as soon as i spoke, it just cut me off. guess now they know this number is active for their scams later on. i dunno why but the phone showed it coming from bristol and i actually thought it might be someone i know. clever trick!

If I answer the phone and the person on the other end just puts the phone down straight away, I reckon that counts as harassment, no matter what number it comes from.
