This must be a scammer, the phone number doesn't even match Leicester's usual format. Also, they couldn't even get past Call Guardian, which I found quite funny.

A call popped up saying it was INTERNATIONAL, but when I rang 1471 back, the number showed as 0116 761 4139. The person on the other end asked for me by name, but I was pretty sure it was a scam, so I told them they must have the wrong person. After that, they politely hung up.

Got a call earlier today at about 1:55pm on Friday 30/10/2020. I picked up and they asked if I was Mr so-and-so. I told them no, they’d dialled the wrong number. The person on the other end just said “Alright then, I’ll leave you be,” and hung up straight away. Weird response, not very professional at all really. I’ve blocked the number now.

My partner picked up a cold call, and the person asked for him specifically by name. He started asking loads of questions, and it was a young lady claiming to be from the ‘green funding team.’ She said she was ringing from Leicester, which matched the Leicester number showing on our phone. However, she refused to give any more details about the company, then just ended the call.

Got a call out of the blue from someone saying she was from the ‘green funding team’ working for ‘First Home Improvements’. At first she said she was just a third party, but then she let slip she’s actually employed by them. I’ve gone ahead and reported the call to the ICO.

Initially, the caller insisted they were merely a 'third party', but it didn't take long for her to let slip that she's actually employed by 'First Home Improvements' themselves.
