They introduced themselves as representatives of UK Now, assuring me they weren’t peddling anything, yet their inquiries were strange. They adamantly denied conducting a survey, which left me scratching my head about their true aim. The questions were a bit odd too, ranging from my age bracket, the number of kids I have, to whether I possess a mortgage or life insurance. I chose to throw out a few random responses, hoping to unravel the mystery behind the call. In the end, they simply requested that I confirm today’s date, and that concluded our rather cryptic conversation.

It felt more like a marketing ploy or some sort of survey scam. I decided to hang up and promptly blocked the number. My phone displayed the call originated from Leicester.
