Definitely felt like a dodgy sales call or scam. They mentioned some debts I supposedly owe, though I’m not sure where they got that from. As soon as they started talking about that, I just ended the call.

I got a call from someone who sounded like they were working in a noisy call centre, with loads of background chatter. They started reading out my personal info like my name and address for me to verify, but the details they gave were slightly out of date - I just let it be though. They said they were from UK Now, claiming they weren’t trying to sell me anything but were asking questions. Still, they insisted it wasn’t a survey, which was kind of odd. The whole purpose of the call was pretty vague. They asked stuff like my age bracket, number of kids, if I had a mortgage or life insurance, things like that. I just made up answers, hoping to get a better idea of why they were calling. At the end, they asked me to confirm the date, and then the call just ended.

Someone called, asked for my name and said it’d only take a minute. When I tried to find out who they were or where they were calling from, they wouldn’t say. Felt like some sort of marketing scam or survey. I ended up hanging up and blocking the number straight away. The caller ID showed it as a Leicester number.
