Got a call from someone claiming to be from an NHS vaccination site asking if I’d had my booster jab. I told them I had, and it’s definitely on my NHS records, but maybe they can’t access them and are just going from a printed list or something. I’m listed as vulnerable, so maybe that’s why. Funny thing happened yesterday - my phone's call blocker (TruCall) stopped two calls from getting through because the caller refused to say who they were. Later, I spotted the number on my TruCall log and looked it up here on whocalledme. I called it back this morning and it turned out to be NHS Leicester alright, but they hadn't tried to reach me since August! Makes you wonder if this legitimate number is being misused somehow.

They claimed to be from a Vaccination Centre and said my records show I haven't had my Covid booster, which is totally wrong since I've had three jabs. They also mentioned a district nurse is working in my area but not Wens, so I guess we’ll wait and see. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to charge me, but there’s no way I’m paying anything. If the nurse pops up without proper NHS ID, I’m definitely not letting them in - I’ll be checking carefully. They did know my name, but honestly, our government sells that info to just about anyone willing to pay, and probably a lot more than that. I never share personal details over the phone, not even what my first name’s initial stands for. Seriously, if you get random calls like this, just be wary.
