3 yearsI got a call from 01164884613 on my phone. The person mentioned Avon, or was it something like Avon? When I asked, all I got was a confused "Vodafone" babble. So I just said some random nonsense like "blub blab dub done?" and then they hung up. 😂Vodafone3 yearsThey disconnected as soon as I picked up.3 yearsReceived a dodgy call today from someone pretending to be from Vodafone. They were fishing for my banking details. Definitely a scam!Vodafone3 yearsI ended up putting them on my block list, what a scammer!3 yearsMy phone actually warned me it was a dodgy number before I picked up, but I answered anyway - not my brightest move! This bloke with an Indian accent said he was from some fraud protection team and claimed someone was nicking data off my Vodafone account. I asked if that was true and he went on about two men using my contract to get free data, saying I was being charged double and asked if I wanted him to cancel it. I said yes, just to see where this would go. Then he wanted my date of birth, card details, PIN, and even my first pet’s name to confirm I was the account holder. Luckily, I was prepared because of the warning. When he asked all those personal questions, I just told him I had to check something on my computer. He then asked where I worked, and I lied saying I’m with McAfee, the antivirus company, and added that I knew where he lived. That got him to hang up pretty quickly. So definitely a scammer calling from 01164884613. If you get a call from that number, don’t hesitate to block it straight away!VodafoneMcAfee3 yearsGot a call from some bloke in India, just spam trying to sell stuff.
