I couldn't resist teasing and retorted, "Are they, indeed?" Then this chap absurdly asserted, "Yes, madam, two gentlemen are exploiting your contract, resulting in you paying double what you ought to! May I proceed to cancel their activities?" To which I carelessly replied, "Of course!" Then they proceeded to request my date of birth, card details, and the pin. They even wanted my first pet’s name-all under the guise of verifying my identity. A huge thank you to my phone for the heads-up! When they hit me with those queries, I simply feigned a distraction, saying, "Um... just a moment, I'm heading to my computer." They then inquired about where I worked, and in a flash of inspiration, I claimed, "Oh, I’m with the renowned antivirus company, McAfee, and I know your address!" At that point, they promptly hung up.
