The chap on the line had such a thick accent that I could hardly make out what he was rambling on about, though it sounded suspiciously like he was trying to sell me a mobile phone deal or perhaps fish for my financial information. I mentioned that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but he seemed utterly clueless about that. In the end, I instructed him to take my number off his list and then promptly hung up. I've since blocked the number!
