‭0116 286 2132‬ rang me earlier today, I kept saying hello a few times but got no answer, then just as I was about to hang up, I heard a woman talking in the background.

Got a call from this number but they hung up right away, didn’t get a chance to pick up - no voicemail left either. The number looked really long, kinda weird, maybe a fake caller ID? Tried searching it online, nothing showed up. I’m on the TPS list, so shouldn’t be getting random calls, and I only share my number with close friends and family.

these lot are total pain. i kept telling them nicely that nobody here claims benefits but they just hang up and call again the next day. after a while i got fed up and ended up swearing at them. they then started ringing every few minutes just to get on my nerves. in the end, i had no choice but to block the number. it’s so easy for them to be all bold when they’re behind a phone screen.

Got a call from someone saying there was a Norwegian pigeon in my bank account or something like that. They said it was a serious matter and that the pigeon was aggressive too. I got concerned and ended up giving them my bank details, sort code, plus my mum’s maiden name and the name of my first pet. Fingers crossed the proper authorities catch that awful scammer soon.

I have no clue who was on the phone, but their English was quite poor. They told me I could qualify for a new central heating boiler if I’m on benefits. I didn’t even bother chatting with them, just said no thanks and ended the call. This number keeps calling me way too often. It’s some sort of scam, like fake hacking or something like that, trying to fool you into giving away your bank info. Best to avoid them completely.

The call started with "Hello, I am calling about..." but I cut them off right there and hung up. I usually just ignore any calls that are from abroad or have no number showing, but this one seemed to be from Leicester, so I answered. I've now blocked that number. These cold calls are getting out of hand, and honestly, the TPS seems about as useful as a chocolate teapot these days.

I'm getting these calls again, thought I'd sorted it with Magrathea before. This time it's a bit different, sounds like it's from another place. Same daft scam about heating benefits though. Still haven't figured out who holds the lease for this line.

Got a call from a guy, sounded foreign - maybe Filipno? He was asking if anyone’s on benefits so we could qualify for a boiler grant. Claimed to be from 'Heating & Benefits' or something like that but didn’t want to give many details. I just hung up and didn’t share any info.

It’s pretty clear to me the two are connected since mentions of the first number have dropped and now everyone’s talking about this one. Honestly, the TPS is useless as always. Cold calling should be outright illegal, with massive fines and jail time for those behind it.
