I received several calls from this number today, but they hung up every time I picked up. I’d suggest you consider blocking it!

The number was unfamiliar to me, so I just let the calls go to voicemail. But they kept ringing non-stop, which made me think it could be important. I finally picked up, only to be met with complete silence, then a recorded voice telling me they’d been attempting to reach me regarding "their products...". Total waste of my time. I’ve since blocked the number.

Some bloke said he was ringing from a council welfare program, but when I asked which council, he hesitated like he was trying to figure out an answer. Bit dodgy that the one he eventually mentioned isn’t even anywhere near Leicester. He promised a free heating replacement or summat, which sounded a bit off to me. Ended up just hanging up and blocking the number.

I picked up but no one said a word. I usually don’t say anything if the number’s unfamiliar, only if they start talking first. Most likely some plonker trying a scam or just another spam call.

I got a call from someone claiming they worked for a government programme that replaces boilers and stuff. When I asked their name, they gave me a completely different one. Then when I questioned where they got my info from, they said it was from an online survey but insisted they were the government. Smells like a total scam or just another cold call to me. Wouldn’t trust it!

Most of the time when the phone cuts off after about 4 or 5 rings, it’s probably just some random cold caller.
