Got a call I couldn’t answer.

Somebody rang saying they were from Three, but it was obvious they weren't from the real Three since they were using a UK landline number. When I chuckled after they claimed to be from Three, they just hung up straight away.

I received a call purporting to be from Three Mobile, trying to tempt me with a seemingly attractive deal on my contract. They kicked things off by asking me for my name and email. Instantly, I felt a twinge of unease-something wasn’t quite right. When I pressed the bloke for some verification, he sent me an email from [email protected], which looked rather shonky, to say the least. Plus, he had no clue about my name or any specifics of my contract-definitely not a legit Three rep. I decided it was best to end the conversation right there.

Got a call on my phone from a woman with an Asian accent, saying she was ringing from 3 with some special deals. I told her if she was really with 3, she’d be aware I’m stuck in my contract for another year. She must’ve realised I wasn’t buying it, cause she just hung up straight away without another word. These shady callers are proper annoying and get right on my nerves.

Never share any details with someone who drops in out of the blue on the phone. That person who mentioned their 3 contract still being valid for a year is likely to get loads of dodgy calls and messages in around 10 months. Chances are, that info’s now being sold on some shady site for next to nothing. If you get any scammy calls, make sure to report them to the cyber crime police - contact info down below.

Got a call from 0116 412 5983 saying something about lowering my bills with 3 network. I’m with 3 too but I’m a bit deaf and couldn’t quite catch what they said so I just hung up. Hope I haven’t been billed for picking up. There’s so many dodgy calls these days. I wouldn’t normally answer but was expecting a call from a firm, just not that one… watch out people!
