01163930207 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01163930207 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers falsely claiming to offer call blocking services, often citing affiliations with official bodies such as TPS or Action Fraud. They typically pressure recipients, sometimes pensioners, into providing bank details for a device or service that is never delivered. Many have noted poor communication skills, suspicious insistence on payment, and the caller's reluctance or inability to clearly identify their organisation. Attempts to verify identities or request written information commonly result in hang-ups. Calls frequently originate from unfamiliar or spoofed numbers, and recipients are advised to hang up immediately, never share personal or financial info, and report such attempts via official channels. This scam is widespread and recognised for exploiting concerns about unwanted marketing and fraud calls.

At first, they seemed really legit, but when I got transferred to someone claiming to be a “manager,” I started getting suspicious. They kept pushing me to hand over my bank info, even though they never actually asked for the full card number. Definitely felt a bit off.

This bloke claimed he was with TPS and said he'd already put the service on my phone. I told him, well, it’s obviously not doing anything then. Next thing, he starts trying to offer it again but cheaper. I just cut him off and ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the UK telephone call blocking team, but it was just a scam to trick me. Definitely don’t trust these fake call blocking people!

This bloke said his name was Clouse and claimed he was ringing to let me know they’d be putting a call barring on my line. I told him I found that hard to believe, and he nodded like he got why I was suspicious. When I asked what company he was with, he hesitated but said Callbar at last. I told him that sounded dodgy and hung up.

Some bloke called claiming he was with my phone company, but when I asked which one he was from, he just wouldn't say. Reckon it was one of those call blocking scams, so I told him to sod off and ended the call.

Some bloke rang me, said he was with a UK call blocking company and noticed loads of spam calls were coming through to me. As soon as I asked for more details about who he actually was, he just put the phone down.

I got a call from some bloke who could barely get a proper sentence out, saying I was eligible for a call block. When I asked why, since I'm already on the TPS, he claimed he was from TPS himself. I just told him he was talking rubbish and ended the call.

19/8/24 Brill start to my "Scam Week." Got a call from another dodgy caller using that bogus "CALL BLOCKER SCAM." Seems like these muppets keep trying this tired trick every single week. Bet they're still snagging some poor sods with the same old rubbish that’s been about since forever, like back when Jesus was kicking about with the Arabs.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. They were trying to sell me some kind of call-blocking service, but I made it clear that I had zero interest in what they were proposing.

Another dodgy call from that Nigel Nog bloke, also known as Nig Nog de Knifer, and as always, his English was pretty much rubbish.

Got a call from someone saying our line wasn’t secure and we should get some phone blocking gadget. They said it had something to do with work being done around here by City Fibre. I told them we couldn’t do anything right now and asked for info in writing. After that, I just hung up.

I just let it ring through and then used 1471 to check the caller's number. After popping the digits into 'who dialled me UK', it turned out to be a scam call. Guess I've got another dodgy number to watch out for!

I didn't pick up since the number looked unfamiliar. Once they heard my voicemail that I'm on the TPS list, they just hung up.

Got another call from those so-called call blocker people. Told them I don't want one since the police already have my phone covered. I’ve gotten so many of these calls, I’d need an entire cupboard just to store ’em all. Always the same rubbish every single time.

Totally a scam. They talk rubbish about some Call Blocking thing that doesn't work at all. Avoid it.

Total scam. They keep going on about some Call Blocking Device like I need that rubbish. Honestly, I’m perfectly capable of just hanging up on annoying calls myself.

The person ringing me couldn’t even pronounce my name properly, which was odd since both of us obviously speak English without any trouble. They claimed I was still getting annoying telemarketing or scam calls (bit rich, considering this call was one of those!) and said they’d post me a ‘call blocker’ device that all I’d have to do is plug in. I cut them off before they could say more. I’m pretty sure that ‘blocker’ would’ve ended up costing me something in the end!

Like some folks mentioned before, this was definitely one of those scam calls about a call-blocking gadget. They guessed I was retired and oddly asked if I’d given someone power of attorney over my affairs. I didn’t hang around long enough to see if they were fishing for details to use later or just trying to sound trustworthy.

They've rung me 3 times over the last couple of days. I didn't pick up because after the first ring I looked up the number and saw it's marked as a scam. Not sure why they're calling since I have no links to Leicester or Ireland, which is where the calls seem to be coming from.

This number contacts me pretty regularly. Most times, they hang up as soon as I pick up. Every now and then, it’s something about scam protection. I’ve asked them to stop calling me but they keep doing it anyway. If I don’t answer, they’ll sometimes call me over and over in the same day. It’s so annoying!

Got a call from someone saying they were from a call blocking company and they actually had my info right. They asked me to pay a one-time charge of £1.49 for a device that lasts forever. I wasn't keen on giving my card details, so I said no and they just hung up on me!

So I got a call from someone who claimed I was getting tons of scam calls. Then they said they could send me a scam blocker device, but wanted me to pay for it first. As soon as I refused, they just hung up. What freaked me out the most was they already had my address! Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Someone rang me saying they were from the Telephone Preference Service and tried to get my debit card info to pay for some call blocking thing. I wasn’t having any of it at all.

They told me that my area was getting loads of nuisance calls more than usual, and since I’m retired, they wanted to send me a call blocker for a one-off price of £175. They already had my address but asked for my bank details, which I didn’t give. I told them I never asked for a blocker and didn’t want one at all. When I pushed for their company’s details, they said it was UK Caller Guard, located at 124 Finchley Road, London, with the postcode HR7 4 DG, and their number is 0204 0367 7778. The number that appeared on my phone matched exactly the one I put into your site.

Someone rang me about a call blocking device and kept pestering me with questions for about 5 minutes, trying to push me into buying it. Then he mentioned he noticed I’m a pensioner and that the price would be cheaper for me. I just told him no thanks and ended the call straight away.
