1 monthRang purporting to be from Vodafone, saying my sim card needed to be changed. I felt suspicious right away. When I said I would go into the shop, he said he was offering me some kind of immediate deal which the shop was not offering. I knew it was spam and ended the conversation. With hindsight, as I did not recognise the number, I should not have answered it and let them leave a message if they were genuine. I've reported and blocked the number now.RangVodafone1 monthI got a call from someone saying they were with Vodafone, telling me my SIM card was going to get deactivated and that it needed changing. I was driving at the time and straight away thought it sounded dodgy, so told them to stop wasting my time. They kept insisting for a moment, but then they hung up. I’m definitely going to report it to Vodafone as spam now.Vodafone1 monthI saw this fraud on the recent BBC1 SCAM INTERCEPTORS show. The person targeted in that episode was fortunate the criminals weren't doing the VOICE CLONING SCAM too - there's loads online about that one! If you want to help tackle ALL scam calls, it’s really important to report them to the official police and Ofcom channels the government set up to track and fight these. If it’s a phone call, just text the info to 7726 and respond when they ask to confirm. Also, don’t forget to use the spam reporting option on your phone if it’s got one.BBC1Ofcom1 monthGot a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone saying I had to urgently upgrade my sim. They asked for my personal info, but I didn’t feel right about it and refused. Seems like a total scam to me.Vodafone1 monthGot a call from someone saying they were from EE. The accent was really hard to understand, and they said there was an issue with my SIM card. I didn’t trust it one bit right from the start. They kept trying to squeeze out my details, and things got a bit heated. I told him to basically get lost in no uncertain terms, and he just cut the call. What a muppet. ####EESubmit Your Own Report (0116 360 1813)
