Later, I contacted my MasterCard bank, and they warned me that if I had pressed 1, scammers could’ve stayed connected to my account and as soon as I hung up and called the bank myself, they’d have accessed my details.
My bank told me it was definitely a scam and advised to disconnect my phone briefly and then plug it back in to be safe.
They also asked if I’d given any info like card expiry or the security numbers on the back - which thankfully I hadn’t.
