Got a call from someone claiming to be "Vodafone" with some deals, but they wouldn’t let me get a word in. When I called them out on it, they just ended the call. Pretty obvious scam to me, Vodafone wouldn't randomly ring you up like that offering deals.

A bloke called claiming to be from Awareness UK, saying I needed to update my landline info or it’d get disconnected. He was quite pushy and even a bit rude, kept telling me he had other calls lined up. Honestly, don’t let anyone rush you into handing over any info. They’re just trying to scam you. Keep your details to yourself!

Someone called asking for my daughter by her first name, saying they were from the “Housing Repairs Team.” When I asked for more details, the person said they worked for the Council’s Housing Association. I found it odd as I thought they’d have that info already. When I pressed on who actually made the report, they just said “someone living at the property.” The background sounded like a poor attempt at a call centre noise. I got suspicious and questioned them more, then they just abruptly ended the call.

Someone rang asking for my missus, I told them she wasn’t available and asked if I could assist instead. There was silence after that, then the call just got dropped. Definitely a scam.
