Got a robocall telling me to press 1, so I did since I was waiting for a call from Uber lost and found and wasn't sure what to do. Then the person asked me who I was, so I just gave my first name, thinking they were checking if I was the rider. But then they said they didn’t know me and didn’t want to talk to me. Left me totally baffled.

Today I got a call from a young lady who said she was from a company called 'FRESH CONTACTS'. The number was 01163197721, and it was on 5th October 2016. She already knew my full name somehow then mentioned I’d been in an accident, which is rubbish because I haven’t had one. Then the call just dropped. Got a call from this number last Friday 26/2. The guy sounded really friendly, saying he was with Red Star finance and even used my first name, telling me I had a credit card refund. He also knew my last name and where I live. I ended the call straight away. I contacted my credit card provider and they said they don’t deal with anyone else and if I’d stayed on the phone, he’d probably tried to get more info from me. Best to block and ignore these calls!

This number just keeps ringing and I always end up missing it. I block one number, then another rings with the same nonsense, either about PPI or some accident I supposedly been in. I get about 3 calls like this every day now and it’s driving me mad. I put my number on some job websites recently like Reed, Jobsite, and Indeed, and ever since then the calls have gone up loads. I reckon one or all of them must have passed on my info somewhere.

I called them back after getting loads of calls, some guy with a red star or something (didn’t really hear properly) told me I had credit on a credit card. I told him I never even had a credit card, then he said "Why the hell are you calling back then?" I said I just wanted to find out who he was. Just put the number on block, they never stop pestering you even when you say you don’t want their offers!!

Got a call today saying I was due money back from a credit card I had about 4 years ago. They claimed it was for interest refunds even though the card was settled long ago. They knew my full name and gave an address that wasn’t the one linked to the card. Then a woman passed me to a bloke who wanted me to verify all my personal info before sending paperwork to claim the refund. I felt it was all a bit fishy and told them it sounded too good to be true. They got a bit defensive after that, so I just made up an excuse and ended the call.

Red Star has been using at least four different numbers on me this week alone. I totally agree with what's been said here - the people behind these calls are so rude and really don't know how to behave. It definitely feels like a scam. This number kept ringing me non stop, so I finally picked up and told them I was tied up in a meeting and asked if they could ring later (bit of a fib, gotta admit). After that I blocked them, but it didn’t stop them from calling again and again. Luckily I just ignore it now, so I guess they’re the ones bothered in the end.

Someone called claiming to already have me as a customer and wanted my credit card details for some sort of ‘refund package’ - total scam if you ask me!

Utterly disrespectful! Got a call about some "refund package" and the bloke kept calling me darling! Told him to take me off their list and to stop calling me that since we don’t even know each other. He just said, "no, not really!" So, I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call today from someone claiming it was about an accident I'd supposedly had. Total scam trying to trick you into thinking you were involved in a crash. Watch out for this one!

I got a call from Redstar claiming they wanted to return loads of money for fees on old credit cards I used ages ago. They even knew my old address and maiden name. It was all about some 'secret fees' I might have paid, supposedly adding up to thousands, even though I always paid off the interest monthly. Not sure if it’s legit or just a scam, but thinking about how much I relied on my credit cards back then, it could be true - but as far as I remember, I don’t think they owe me anything.
