So this person rings me up pretending to be from some insurance firm, saying something like, "We're calling regarding that accident you had, where you weren't at fault, correct?" Thing is, I haven't had any accident at all. Classic "you’re in an accident" scam call. I just told them their mum must be so proud of how good they are at their job or whatever, then I ended the call.

What a right nuisance these calls are! I never pick up if the number's unfamiliar, and I definitely don’t ring them back - they usually just drop the call hoping you will. Apparently, calling back can end up being really expensive. My rule is simple: keep caller ID on, avoid answering strange numbers, look them up on here if you’re unsure, and then just block them for good.

I’m really done with getting calls first thing in the morning like 8 am and then again about 8 pm. Usually, there’s either no one there or they don’t pay attention at all, and if I try to say something, they just hang up before I’m done talking. Proper annoying!

Got a call around half past eight on a Saturday, but when I answered, there was nobody on the line.
